This afternoon we went canoeing again, but at a different park. It was in the Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge, which is just south of Homasassa, FL. The few houses along the waterway are not nearly as nice as at Rainbow Springs, but it is also spring fed and very clear water.
This first shot was taken as an egret just took off.
We came upon these 2 Blue Herons as they were doing some sort of mating ritual - heads straight up and facing each other about a foot apart. They took off before we had a change to take that picture.
This is of one of the two after he came back down, but we did not see the other one again.
