Back at JAARS

Well, we are back at JAARS in Waxhaw, NC. Yesterday we traveled by car here in 12 hours driving time. The weather was rainy the first half of the trip, but then turned sunny. The car was loaded to the gills with my toolbox, food and clothing, which along with a steady headwind caused the mileage to be not much better than 30 mpg. At least the price of gas was down considerably from just a few months ago. The flying airplane is still in the hangar in Michigan and we may go back and bring it south later on. The aircraft under construction has the fuselage about 1/8 of the way completed, but will have to sit till spring most likely. At least we had one week of very nice November weather for Michigan to get something done. Here is a picture of what has been completed so far. The right side is the front of the cockpit and the middle is where both wings attach to. The back or left side of the picture is the baggage compartment.
