Paint job continued

We finished painting the white last week and this week we spent on masking, sanding and prepping for paint on Monday and Tuesday. Today we put the blue on the fuselage. Last week Don vanden Berg was the painter, but he had to leave on Monday, so this week we have Jim Rendel as the one with the paint gun. I know my limitations and just mix the paint and clean up the paint guns.

Here he is putting the finish coat on the tail section

The blue going on the belly. Not a comfortable position but he survived it.

This is after the masking paper was removed. The cowling will have the rest of "U.S. AIR FORCE" on it.

A view from the tail. It looks a little plain, but with the "Star and Bars" on the side of the fuselage and the "Air Training Command" emblem on the tail it will look better.
