We had a fun day last Friday at Kate's elementary school and Rachel's middle school. We forgot our camera however and felt we at least needed a picture of both girls to go with this blog. This is one Carolyn took a few weeks ago.
In the morning we went to Kate's school, where we attended a program of singing first and then spent some time with Kate in her classroom. In the afternoon we went to Rachel's school and Rachel showed us around all the different classrooms she attends and then spent some time with her in a computer room while she did a project on explorers. What I really found interesting was how the methods of teaching have changed. For example, when we had to do something like that, we went to the library and researched the subject in the encyclopedia, now the teacher tells them to "Google it". I guess encyclopedia sales must be way down.
